Come, già un altro tema per WordPress?? Certo! Ecco a voi Fastfood!
Fastfood è un tema semplice e chiaro, le cui caratteristiche sono:
- larghezza fissa : il vostro blog apparirà uguale per tutti, indipendentemente dalla risoluzione del monitor
- due colonne : da riempire con i vostri contenuti, che saranno visibili ed accessibili
- supporto per widgets : aggiungete tutti gli widgets che volete per arricchire il blog
- pronto per la localizzazione : usate altre lingue oltre all’inglese e l’italiano? Fastfod è pronto per essere facilmente tradotto
- fino a 5 aree widgets : sì, avete capito bene! avrete a disposizione fino a 5 aree widget per i vostri contenuti extra
- standard di WordPress : pienamente conforme agli standard richiesti da WordPress
- funzionalità WP 3.0 : Fastfood utilizza le nuove funzionalità introdotte da WordPress 3.0
- Gravatars : avete il vostro Gravatar ? Fastfood lo supporta!

La TB Crew è talmente piena di idee (oltre che di birra, ovviamente) che non fa in tempo a pubblicare un tema per WordPress – Wallow è in arrivo, non temete – che ne è già pronto un altro. Nato da una breve e rumorosa (eravamo 4 amici al bar, come diceva Gino Paoli) sessione di brainstorming, Fastfood nasconde sotto l’aspetto minimale e chiaro parecchie funzionalità che favoriscono la navigazione e la consultazione dei contenuti.
La più evidente è senza dubbio il menu a scomparsa (un’evoluzione della “quickbar” di Wallow), attivato dal passaggio del mouse sulle icone posizionate in basso a sinistra, che contiene molti links rapidi agli articoli, alle categorie , ai commenti e agli strumenti più comuni dell’utente.
A destra del corpo centrale del blog si trova una piccola barra fissa che racchiude tutti pulsanti di navigazione oltre a varie funzionalità relative agli articoli. Tra queste ricordiamo l’anteprima di stampa, che permette di avere velocemente un’idea di come verrà stampato l’articolo o la pagina che state consultando.
Fastfood inoltre mette a disposizione quattro aree per i vostri widgets, una nella classica sidebar e tre nel footer.
Nella sezione Admin -> Aspetto -> Opzioni tema potrete modificare le opzioni di Fastfood per venire incontro alle esigenze del vostro sito
Nella sezione Admin -> Aspetto -> Testata troverete alcune immagini per modificare l’aspetto della testata. Potrete inoltre caricare un’immagine personalizzata che verrà visualizzata al posto di quelle predefinite.
Ah, non dimenticate di cambiare il Gravatar predefinito! Andate sella sezione Admin -> Impostazioni -> Discussione e selezionate “Gravatar predefinito di Fastfood”.
Dal momento che durante lo sviluppo WordPress ha rilasciato la versione 3.0 – che introduce numerose novità – il tema è stato rivisto ed ottimizzato aggiungendo il supporto alle nuove funzionalità messe a disposizione.
Fastfood è stato testato con successo su tutti i principali browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera e Internet Explorer – in ordine di preferenza,nb), con e senza supporto javascript. Per le animazioni è stato utilizzato come al solito l’ottimo framework Mootools, che garantisce leggerezza e semplicità.
Versione 0.16
Con l’ultima versione 0.16 di Fastfood sono state introdotte numerose novità, tra le quali ricordiamo:
- la quickbar ora è modificabile, scegliendo se e quali elementi visualizzare (in Admin -> Aspetto -> Opzioni)
- potrete scegliere se utilizzare il modulo di inserimento dei commenti fluttuante o la classica versione fissa (in Admin -> Aspetto -> Opzioni)
- aggiunta una nuova area widget sotto il menu principale
- il titolo del blog può essere nascosto (in Admin -> Aspetto -> Testata)
- potrete facilmente cambiare lo sfondo tramite l’apposita pagina (in Admin -> Aspetto -> Sfondo)
- risoluzione minima dello schermo ridotta a 960px, per risultare compatibile con i display dei moderni dispositivi portatili, quali iPhone4
- adozione di jQuery al posto di Mootools per le animazioni javascript. Ciò garantisce una maggior compatibilità con i vostri widget preferiti
- miglioramenti per quel che riguarda l’affidabilità, la sicurezza e l’aspetto. Forse non si noterà ma il codice è stato pesantemente modificato!

Vi volevo però chiedere come modificare alcune piccole cose..ho cercato di modificare nel tema ecc, ma non sono ancora riuscita a risolvere:
- come faccia a modificare colore e dimensione dei link dei menu senza modificare anche quelli dei post? io li vorrei diversi, più grandi e con un colore per i link nel menu e nella sidebar di destra, più piccoli e con altri colori per il titolo di ogni post
- nei post vorrei che al passaggio del mouse il colore cambiasse e che venisse sottolineato, come posso fare?

Istruzioni rapide: modificare il file style.css (anche con l’editor integrato di WP), per cambiare style ai link del menù, dei post e della sidebar di destra.

Hi, would like to say GREAT work! I am using your theme and loving it.
A suggestion would be to enable the Featured Image as a full size image and centered and below this the excerpt of the post appears. Also, would it be possible to add a “…” after the last word of the excerpt? This adds a really slick feel to sites and looks very professional. Or perhaps a custom excerpt length per post?

Ciao, gli autori di questo tema follemente meraviglioso. Sto avendo difficoltà a fare le mie selezioni colore del collegamento sono conformi con gli standard accettati a contrasto. Utilizzando lo strumento a http://www.paciellogroup.com/resources/contrast-analyser.html, posso alleggerire l’ancora e librarsi colori in ul#mainmenu “un po ‘”, ma dello stesso colore nel post principale diventa troppo luce per leggere. Avrei bisogno di essere in grado di oscurare la #404040 background-color in #pages. (Scusate il mio cattivo italiano, per gentile concessione di Google Translate.)
Hi and thanks for compliments. The theme doesn’t have an easy option for changing that color. You should open the style.css file in the editor (appearance -> editor) , search for the
#pagesrules (line 637 or so) and manually change thebackground-colorvalue to something else, like #111111 or similar.The new updated theme give me the mobile version of the site when I load it uop in the latest firefox.

Hi, maybe you can’t modify files due to server restrictions.
Access the theme folder with an ftp client (eg. FileZilla), download the file to your desktop, open it with a text editor, modify, save and upload it again.

* Try Jimo’s solution (I can’t understand if you try it out or not);
* Try disabling the plugins to find out if there’s some compatibily issue (as Jimo already said, I can’t understand if you try it out or not);
* Re-install the theme, a corrupted installation can happen sometimes;

è da un po che non ci sentiamo (vuol dire che non ho avuto problemi con il vostro tema Fastfood)ma purtroppo recentemente ho riscontrato una cattiva visualizzazione, quando clicco su un qualunque articolo, nell’area “lascia un commento” in basso.
Attualmente uso il temw Fastfood aggiornato alla versione 0.32.2. Sapreste dirmi qualcosa?

è sempre un piacere sentirti.
Il problema, come avrai notato, ha colpito anche noi, tuttavia non è (ahimè), dovuto ai nostri temi, bensì al plugin Spam Free WordPress, che va a intervenire sul box dei commenti (modificando classi, stile, ecc), e questo incasina il tutto.
Personalmente ho tenuto attivo quel plugin fino a oggi (lo ammetto, mica li avevo notati i commenti tutti sballati!!!), solo perché non dava problemi e, affiancato ad askimet, offriva una protezione in più; detto questo l’ho momentaneamente disabilitato.
In ogni caso vedremo se è possibile aumentare la compatibilità o quantomento segnalare all’autore del plugin che cambiare/eliminare le classi di un tag, non è proprio il massimo della vita.

andando sul sito dell’autore leggo un commento di risposta dell’autore stesso ad un altro utente (datato 27.08.2012, quindi recentissimo):
eppure su tutti i siti protetti appare la scritta NNNN Spam Comments Blocked so far by Spam Free WordPress, compreso il sito ufficiale… L’autore si deve essere perso qualcosa lungo la strada

Avrei bisogno di una consulenza.
Ho inserito una floating bar di una chat ed un testo con i diritti d’autore del “blogger per scimmie” incollando due script nel file footer.php (io uso il vostro tema fastfood).
Ogni volta che aggiorno il tema fastfood con qualche nuova versione devo, ogni volta, reinserire manualmente questi due script. C’è un modo per renderli permanenti anche se aggiorno la versione del tema?

Il metodo migliore (e forse per il momento l’unico) è sicuramente usare un child theme. Per info ti rimando a questo articolo

Tutto quello che devi fare è:
- creare un child theme, con dentro (oltre a style.css che è necessario) un functions.php
- all’interno di questo file devi creare una funzione che eseguirà il tuo codice. es.
function my_custom_function_for_fastfood() { //your code goes here }- ora devi appendere questa funzione ad un gancio (hook). quindi sempre in functions.php aggiungi qualcosa del genere
nota che puoi usare uno degli hook standard di wordpress (tipo wp_head, wp_footer, etc) oppure uno degli hook di fastfood che sono sparsi per i files del tema. trovi l’elenco completo nel file lib/hooks.php
Per velocizzare la cosa ti ho già preparato il child theme (che poi ovviamente devi modificare secondo le tue esigenze). Lo trovi qui:

Come dice V.I. nella sua guida, i child themes non sono altro che dei normalissimi temi (che però dipendono da un tema genitore). Quindi devono essere inseriti nella cartella wp-content\themes.
Oppure, più semplicemente, vai in admin->Aspetto->Temi->Installazione Temi, clicchi carica media e scegli il file zip che hai scaricato. Una volta installato, basta attivarlo.
Come sempre siete stati chiari e perfetti, anche se devo lavorarci un poco per capirci qualcosa. Mai lavorato seriamente con queste cose.

using firebug I can see several js errors in your page.
ReferenceError: ninja_analyze is not defined var analyze00104497 = ninja_analyze('00104497', 36, '463b9e2'); TypeError: a.aoColumns1 is undefined ...return f.sDefaultContent}if(c===null&&f.sDefaultContent!==null)c=f.sDefaultConte...then a 404 errorr occur and js loading stop.
BTW “More to the top” is a very old plugin, “Last Updated: 2008-7-31″, and there’s no way to make it work (except updating its code, and for that you should ask plugin editor).

Hello, i really like this theme and have been trying to mess with the css but with no results, is there a way to make the header transparent so that the image is like a png image and shows the background? Also is there a way to get a image for the background instead of the gradient and an outside pluggin?
