    Ciao artigiani del web!

    Vorrei chiedervi due cose:
    1 . come posso aggiungere o modificare le icone Condividi… sia nelle pagine dei post che nella widget? (vorrei aggiungere l’icona condividi di Google + e toglierne altre);
    2 – quando mi scrivono un commento in “Lascia un commento” devo sempre approvarlo, come si fa per farlo approvare in automatico?

    Spero possiate aiutarmi.

      Ciao Monkey,
      per la prima domanda devi attendere Jimo, mentre per la seconda è sufficiente che vai in Dashboard -> Impostazioni -> Discussione e togli i check ai controlli che non vuoi abilitare (sezione “Prima che appaia un commento”).
      Ciao e buon fine settimana

  2. Monkey says:

      Ciao Monkey, eccomi qua!

  3. Monkey says:

    Ciao artigiani, grazie per la pronta risposta.
    Ho gradito molto l’aggiornamento del tema fastfood.
    Un appunto:
    – le condivisioni con orkut non funzionano. Ecco cosa compare (400. That’s an error. Your client has issued a malformed or illegal request. That’s all we know.

      Hai poi sistemato il discorso del “Follow me”/”Share this”?

  4. Monkey says:

    Mi chiedevo se la sovraschermata la si puo impostare con lo sfondo bianco e non nero nel rettangolino che visualizza le immagini.
    Questo perchè avendo molte immagini con sfondo neutro (tipo layer) vengono visualizzate non in modo gradevole con lo sfondo nero.

    • Jimo says:

      Certo, aggiungi a style.css

      #TB_window {
      	background-color: #fff;
      }
      #TB_window {
      	color: #000;
      }
      #TB_secondLine {
      	color: #ccc;
      }

      Poi imposta i colori che preferisci, ovviamente. Se vuoi cambiare anche il colore dello sfondo semi-trasparente, aggiungi anche

      .TB_overlayBG {
      	background-color: #fff;
      }

  5. Hello,

    I like your theme; looks pretty good on mobile, but can’t seem to get the Search to work and freezes or the Tags. The tags in the drop down at the top seem useless, because they only refer to the post shown below. When I add the tags widget that comes with, it only lists terms in posts, and not pages. When I install a new tags widget (simple tags), which I know works for pages, I get the same and is at times grayed out.

    Thanks,
    Sand

    • V.I. says:

      Hi,
      the point is that WP is not suppose to add tags to pages… So why have a widget that display pages’ tags if they’re not suppose to have tags?!
      If you use some plugin to add tags to pages, you should ask plugin developer to make a widget for that very purpose (remember WP is a blog platform, not a CMS, it’s not made to build a static page site – of course you can use it for that, but it’s up to you to shape it for your goals).
      Tags shown in the drop down are useless if you don’t know their meaning: from WP docs

      Post Tags
      Refers to micro-categories for your blog, similar to including index entries for a page. Posts with similar tags are linked together when a user clicks one of the tags. Tags have to be enabled with the right code in your theme for them to appear in your post. Add new tags to the post by typing the tag into the box and clicking “Add”.

      About search, did you encounter the problem in normal or mobile mode?
      Cheers

  6. Hello! Thanks so much for your timely reply; really appreciate it!

    Below you will find both a philosophical and technical response to answer that I hope answers your question.

    According to wikipedia, in 2007 WP won the Packt Open Source CMS Award, in 2009 the Packt best Open Source CMS Award, in 2010 the Hall of Fame CMS category, in 2010 the Open Source Awards, and in 2011 the Open Source Web App of the Year Award at The Critters. Following WPs Open Source CMS Hall of Fame award, Matt Mullenweg related in his WP News piece “We have to be careful because if this trend continues people might think WordPress is a real CMS, useful for more than just a blog. This would ruin our stealth campaign and might bring dozens of new users to the WordPress community. If you could keep this on the DL [or down low] we’d appreciate it. We don’t want WordPress to develop a reputation.”

    You could say WP has a lot in common with leopards, where “a leopard doesn’t change its spots” having become attached to its characteristics as having been born a unique blogging platform and separating itself from all else in the same way a leopards spots are unique individualizing itself within its own species, when in fact PACKT sees WP or the sum of its spots as a mixture of different colours and various shapes that create the overall effect and pattern of a CMS.

    So why have a widget that display pages’ tags if they’re not suppose to have tags? A leopard is far greater than its spots. I suppose I’m not under any misconception of what WP is by labeling this spot as WP has to appear unique, which only creates separation and imposes limitations that hide the truth about what it is; a leopard. I accept the spots for what they are, taking responsibility for what I perceive, i.e. one that reflects my spots. Most certainly, I will always respond from a perception that enables unity that does not separate me from the truth, even though the spots are that which allow this realization. So I guess its how you look at it.

    From a less philosophical point of view, and more technical one; I see tags as ostensive in purpose giving visitors not only the ability to browse similar posts, but also serve to group posts and pages together that share something in common, without having to create separate categories or additional pages.

    For instance, kids-halloween.com is a (new) site of mine where all its pages are dropped into three main pages just like its posts’ counterpart categories, i.e. theme, character, and role. Unlike its posts’ counterpart, pages separate the boys costumes from the girls, kids from the toddlers, etc. depending on their respective availability.

    However, visitors are not just interested in buying costumes; e.g. they want to know what the #1 costume is for the season, or some examples of royal names or get their hands on a script for their role playing to go with the costume. Additionally, if I am posting a sale on 50s costumes that can be found under role and character of pages, as in greaser and poodle skirt, or Sandy Olsson from Grease or Danny from T-Birds for girls and for boys, I am going to want to connect the sale (post) with the pages where the visitor can find the available costumes.
    Also, I employ the use tags for SEO purposes, which help “blogs” get an A+ rating from Google, because they serve as internal link multipliers. Essentially, tags allow me to create limitless strategic connections. What I find especially great is the cloud itself. Being that we humans are rather gregarious by nature, the tags grow in size depending on their popularity. A side; Googles entire platform is based on keyword popularity and competition. So I ask you; why have a widget that display pages’ tags if they’re not suppose to have tags?

    Simple Tags is an excellent plugin/widget, with which I am extremely pleased, but does not seem to work with fastfood (thusfar) : ((

    Hmm…as far as the search goes; I’m not sure what was going on. It seems to be working just fine now (on the phone and on the site). Hurray!

    By the way, see http://cosmosvitamins.com/vitamins-minerals-supplements/calcium/calcium-and-health/ (site I am working on). I used a plugin called “TheThe Tabs and Accordions” and the accordion looks really nice on the phone! (Just wanted to share : )

  7. V.I. says:

    Ok ok you have to sorry me, you know what WordPress is and what you can do with it, and I must agree that it can be used as a CMS.
    My previous answer came from your question about a widget that display pages tags: you wrote a widget, not a plugin… I’ve wrongly thought that you don’t know WP basics (again sorry about that), and I didn’t think about a plugin (tons of them out there).
    Really pleased search is working now.
    About tags, themes files have to be modded to display tags also on pages, you can compare single.php and page.php and see what the 2nd is missing (I can’t do it for you or give you more hints as I’m on holiday and I have only my smartphone…).
    Good luck with your sites.
    Cheers

    P.S. Please next time do not spam so many addresses of your sites, we’re not here to make advertise, one link it’s enough to take us to have a look on what’s happening

    I think it would be interesting if the transition to the top and bottom of the page to be smoother, as in this template http://www.styleshout.com/templates/preview/CoolBlue11/ in the bottom there is a link “Back to Top” and the screen scrolls smoothly back to up. the code for this is http://www.styleshout.com/templates/preview/CoolBlue11/js/scrollToTop.js and I want this theme to have this functionality. thank you very much, and nice job!! :D

    grazie mille in anticipo!

    • V.I. says:

      Ciao,

    Hi! My site uses your theme ( FastFood) and with a few style modifications, gadgets and plugins it’s doing just great. I also installed Boozurk theme, but I plan to put it on another blog. Keep the good work, I hope you will post more themes because I really like your style. Cheers!

  12. Dale says:

    Hi, would like to say GREAT work! I am using your theme and loving it.

    A suggestion would be to enable the Featured Image as a full size image and centered and below this the excerpt of the post appears. Also, would it be possible to add a “…” after the last word of the excerpt? This adds a really slick feel to sites and looks very professional. Or perhaps a custom excerpt length per post?

    Thanks again! Keep up the great work!

      you should create an empty menu in Appearance -> Menu and set it as Main Navigation Menu.

      Hi francis, thanks for using our theme. You may consider to update your theme to version 0.30, which is a major update with a lot of adds&fixes. Also, it’d better if you move the wp-pagenavi div at the begin of the #posts_content div (instead of before). Only little suggestions :) bye

    • Jimo says:

      Hi and thanks for compliments. The theme doesn’t have an easy option for changing that color. You should open the style.css file in the editor (appearance -> editor) , search for the #pages rules (line 637 or so) and manually change the background-color value to something else, like #111111 or similar.

    • V.I. says:

      Hi, maybe you can’t modify files due to server restrictions.
      Access the theme folder with an ftp client (eg. FileZilla), download the file to your desktop, open it with a text editor, modify, save and upload it again.
      Hope it helps

        • V.I. says:

          Nope, only me, the janitor, here.
          Now, some basic options:
          * Try Jimo’s solution (I can’t understand if you try it out or not);
          * Try disabling the plugins to find out if there’s some compatibily issue (as Jimo already said, I can’t understand if you try it out or not);
          * Re-install the theme, a corrupted installation can happen sometimes;

    Attualmente uso il temw Fastfood aggiornato alla versione 0.32.2. Sapreste dirmi qualcosa?

    • V.I. says:

      Ciao Monkey,
      è sempre un piacere sentirti.
      Il problema, come avrai notato, ha colpito anche noi, tuttavia non è (ahimè), dovuto ai nostri temi, bensì al plugin Spam Free WordPress, che va a intervenire sul box dei commenti (modificando classi, stile, ecc), e questo incasina il tutto.
      Personalmente ho tenuto attivo quel plugin fino a oggi (lo ammetto, mica li avevo notati i commenti tutti sballati!!!), solo perché non dava problemi e, affiancato ad askimet, offriva una protezione in più; detto questo l’ho momentaneamente disabilitato.
      In ogni caso vedremo se è possibile aumentare la compatibilità o quantomento segnalare all’autore del plugin che cambiare/eliminare le classi di un tag, non è proprio il massimo della vita.
      Viva!

    • V.I. says:

      Controverso quel plugin:
      andando sul sito dell’autore leggo un commento di risposta dell’autore stesso ad un altro utente (datato 27.08.2012, quindi recentissimo):

      I don’t know what you mean when you say you want to “get rid of the 3 spam comments Blocked so far by Spam Free Word Press” on your site. You won’t see the comment spam anywhere that Spam Free WordPress blocks, because it isn’t saved anywhere.

      eppure su tutti i siti protetti appare la scritta NNNN Spam Comments Blocked so far by Spam Free WordPress, compreso il sito ufficiale… L’autore si deve essere perso qualcosa lungo la strada ;)

    Ho inserito una floating bar di una chat ed un testo con i diritti d’autore del “blogger per scimmie” incollando due script nel file footer.php (io uso il vostro tema fastfood).

    Ogni volta che aggiorno il tema fastfood con qualche nuova versione devo, ogni volta, reinserire manualmente questi due script. C’è un modo per renderli permanenti anche se aggiorno la versione del tema?

    Grazie,

    Monkey

      Ciao Monkey

      Il metodo migliore (e forse per il momento l’unico) è sicuramente usare un child theme. Per info ti rimando a questo articolo
      http://www.twobeers.net/temi-wp/wordpress-child-themes-how-to

      Tutto quello che devi fare è:
      – creare un child theme, con dentro (oltre a style.css che è necessario) un functions.php
      – all’interno di questo file devi creare una funzione che eseguirà il tuo codice. es.

      function my_custom_function_for_fastfood() {
      	//your code goes here
      }

      – ora devi appendere questa funzione ad un gancio (hook). quindi sempre in functions.php aggiungi qualcosa del genere

      add_action( 'wp_footer', 'my_custom_function_for_fastfood' );

      nota che puoi usare uno degli hook standard di wordpress (tipo wp_head, wp_footer, etc) oppure uno degli hook di fastfood che sono sparsi per i files del tema. trovi l’elenco completo nel file lib/hooks.php

      Per velocizzare la cosa ti ho già preparato il child theme (che poi ovviamente devi modificare secondo le tue esigenze). Lo trovi qui:
      http://www.twobeers.net/downloads?did=47

      Per qualsiasi cosa, siamo qua

      Ciao,
      Jimo

      • Monkey says:

        Ultima domanda. Dove inserisco la cartella con il child theme che mi avete cosi gentilmente preparato?

        Monkey

        • Jimo says:

          Come dice V.I. nella sua guida, i child themes non sono altro che dei normalissimi temi (che però dipendono da un tema genitore). Quindi devono essere inseriti nella cartella wp-content\themes.
          Oppure, più semplicemente, vai in admin->Aspetto->Temi->Installazione Temi, clicchi carica media e scegli il file zip che hai scaricato. Una volta installato, basta attivarlo.

  25. Monkey says:

    Hi! This theme is so good. i have 1 question.
    when click “more tag”, i want to read the post from the top.
    so i installed plugin”more to the top” but it does not work.
    next i inserted the some script that intoroduced by many sites to the functions.php of the fastfood.
    but it does not work. if you know to work it, please advice me.
    so sorry my poor English byebye!

    • V.I. says:

      Hi jump-up,
      using firebug I can see several js errors in your page.

      ReferenceError: ninja_analyze is not defined
      var analyze00104497 = ninja_analyze('00104497', 36, '463b9e2');

      TypeError: a.aoColumns1 is undefined
      ...return f.sDefaultContent}if(c===null&&f.sDefaultContent!==null)c=f.sDefaultConte...

      then a 404 errorr occur and js loading stop.

      BTW “More to the top” is a very old plugin, “Last Updated: 2008-7-31″, and there’s no way to make it work (except updating its code, and for that you should ask plugin editor).

      Cheers

  28. jump-up says:

    Hi! Thanks your advice!
    So, I asked the question in japanese wordpress forums.
    and I was advised below

    1.
    「function(){a(“a.more-link”).click」 in your fastfoodscript.min.js
    changes 「function(){a(“a.no-more-link”).click」
    2.
    and add next script in your functions.php

    /* more-linkのハッシュ消し */
    function remove_more_jump_link($link) {
    $offset = strpos($link, '#more-');
    if ($offset) {
    $end = strpos($link, '"',$offset);
    }
    if ($end) {
    $link = substr_replace($link, '', $offset, $end-$offset);
    }
    return $link;
    }
    add_filter('the_content_more_link', 'remove_more_jump_link');

    finishlly, i can work it.
    thank you!

    Hello, i really like this theme and have been trying to mess with the css but with no results, is there a way to make the header transparent so that the image is like a png image and shows the background? Also is there a way to get a image for the background instead of the gradient and an outside pluggin?

    Cheers one the theme its really great.

    Love this theme.. Great job!!!

    Is there any way to edit the mobile site to go directly to the menu page for example?

    • V.I. says:

      Hi Lee,
      mobile view can be customize by adding widgets to it.
      Improving a deep level of customization on mobile view is problematic for several reasons (too long to explain and too lazy to do it now ;-)), so for now we have decided for a fixed schema.

    Is it possible to use the Fastfood theme on a WordPress.com blog? Or is this theme only available for those WordPress blogs that are self hosted?

Ho controllato ed i pulsanti facebook like funzionano.

    • ilmaren says:

      P.S. Grazie per la citazione nel videotutorial :-)

    • ilmaren says:

      LOL mal messo io e mal messo tu!
      blogger-per-scimie.it hai messo come indirizzo :P ci ho messo una vita ad accorgermene

      After July 2013 migration, the Like button required an absolute URL in the href parameter

      Infatti la versione che stai usando (0.33) usa sì l’URL assoluto ma è codificato, e questo a fb non piace più.
      Quindi, o aggiorni come ha detto V.I. (e consiglio pure io ;)) altrimenti ti tocca smanettare un po’ col codice:
      apri functions.php e sostituisci (riga 650)

      $pHref = rawurlencode( get_permalink( $post->ID ) );

      con

      $pHref = get_permalink( $post->ID );

      Così dovrebbe funzionare (suppongo, non l’ho provato ;))

      • ilmaren says:

        Eccolo la!
        Infatti notavo che le url erano codificate differentemente tra il “like” della v 0.36 e la v 0.34, ma da li ad arrivare a guardare la pagina developer di faccialibro, ne passa…soprattutto per me

    • Jimo says:

      Ah, dimenticavo. Se proprio non ti va di aggiornare il tema alla versione 0.36, ti consiglio un altra piccola modifica al codice:
      nelle righe 649 e 651 (ovvero prima e dopo quella che dovresti aver modificato prima) sostituisci rawurlencode con esc_attr (neanche a Twitter piacciono i dati codificati)

    Hello!

    Fastfood themes for wordpress is very good and useful, could you please help me with a custom css file so I can obtain similar design to the one from the picture I sent you? So that I can separate the blocks to see the background, maybe also that the body could be a little transparent. Thank you very much! I will do my best to advertise for donation.

      Hi Kiraly Stefan,
      I’m sorry but that type of customization will totally change the original aspect of fastfood and this is not our purpose, and it’ll require a lot of work ;-).
      Sorry we can’t help you out.

  44. Davide says:

    • Jimo says:

      Uhmm ho provato e la risposta è “no”…
      Comunque, fai così:
      – attiva l’opzione “testata collegata” (come detto sopra)
      – aggiungi questo allo style.css del tuo child theme

      @media screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
      	#main #header {
      		height: auto;
      		min-height: 0;
      	}
      	#main #header img {
      		width: 100%;
      		max-width: 100%;
      		height: auto;
      	}
      }

  46. Davide says:

    come faccio?
    Grazie mille

    • Jimo says:

      A quanto pare hai già risolto ;) , ben fatto!

    • Jimo says:
