Garantire all’utilizzatore 4 diversi stili però non ci sembrava abbastanza
, abbiamo quindi deciso di spezzare le varie parti del tema rendendole indipendenti:
- stile generale
- sidebar
- menù pagine
- menù a scomparsa
- quickbar
- avatar

NOTE: Dalla versione 0.40 sono state introdotte altre due opzioni:
- possibilità di disabilitare la “quickbar”
- possibilità di disabilitare le animazioni javascript

TwoBeers Crew is proud to present Wallow, a new theme for WordPress.
Theme features:
- Flexible width: fits to everithing, even widescreen! No more empty spaces on yours readers screens.
- Two columns: everithing find it’s own place with the two columns at your disposal

- 5 new widgets: Popular Posts, User quick links (meta), Latest comment authors, Latest activity (latest commented posts), Popular Categories
- Theme options: a blog is personal, so it must also be customizable. Obvious!
- Multiple styles: Wallow has 6 different styles, but with the “theme mixer” (*), your blog will be unique
- “Quickbar” (**), navigation: with Wallow’s “quickbar”, browse through the blog has never been easier and faster

- Right sidebar: a pretty comfortable sidebar is what you need for your extra content
- WP requests met: standards-compliant WordPress
- Support Gravatars: your gravatar follows you everywhere
(*) The “theme mixer” is a theme style configurator (you can find it in the admin section-> Appearance-> Theme Options), that can be used tochange the look of every part of your blog (main style, sidebar, pages menu, popup menu, quickbar and avatar). A small preview window allows you to enjoy the different combinations.
(**) The “quickbar” is a fixed bar, at the bottom of the browser window, that contains some useful information and a popup menu with lots of links and shortcuts to move quickly through the blog.
NOTES: From version 0.40 added the possibility to enable/disable js animations and the quickbar (both are enabled by default).

Hi there,
great theme! i will use it for a new website.
But, in IE8 there are some script-errors with the javascripts (also in kompatible-mode).
Perhaps you can fix that? Would be great!!!
Thx and greetz
Frank
hello Franky,
I tried to trap script errors in IE8 (even in compatibility mode), but I really didn’t find them. On my PC everything works fine without any bug. However, for safety I have already made some little changes to the js code. The new version will be available as soon as will be approved.
Thanks for your help and for using our theme
bye
Jimo
btw… is it possible, toviem the comment-form only on articles, not on pages?
bye
Frank
Hi Franky,
.
thanks for your compliments, this is our first work and we really appreciate them
To disable comment form in pages just disable comments in post-edit mode (uder discussions options you can check for enable/disable comments or trackbacks).
My friend Jimo will reply you soon about js errors.
Cheers
yes i know that i can do that. But the comment-form still appears. And in this case, on pages i dont wanna see the form
Seems i have to erase some code in comments.php?
bye
)
uh that’s strange, maybe a bug…
can you please post the link to the corrupted pages so I can have a look?
Hi friends,
solved!
Thx for great support!
Greetz
Frank
can you give me your email? The page isnt online yet and has ht-access-login.
Than i will send you the link with login data.
also solved!
Thx
Thx Frank!
For all those who have encountered the same problems with animations js, the issue is:
Some plugins use the framework jQuery which is in conflict with the MooTools (used in the theme)
The solution is to add the following code in the footer.php, just before <?php wp_footer(); ?>
Everything should work fine
Hi friends,
i want to put a slideshow on the frontpage.
You have any suggestions which is the best to use?
There are so many and i dont know whats the best……
cheers
Frank
i got now a very good slider. Called easing slider.
Works perfect with FF and Opera. But not on IE8. There are the pictures not shown.
When i use a standard theme, everything is ok and works.
Not so with WALLOW.
Do you have any idea, why IE7/8 is not showing any pictures? I have deactivated all plugins, but without success.
Perhaps a conflict with something in your theme?
Help would be great!
Thx, Frank
Hi Franky.
Another bug with javascript??? I’m getting crazy!! see my comment below
ps:great slideshow pluging
Bye
Hi.
Thanks for this great template: I just installed Wallow on http://www.cybernews.be.
Got a question, though: how can I add a menu item next to “Home” and “About us”? Like you did on this site with “Downloads, “Wallpapers” and “Shop”…?
Thanks a lot.
Phil
Hi Phil,
you can add items in menu by a tool introduced by WordPress team in their new version 3.0.
You obviously have to update you WordPress (if not yet) to version 3.0, then go to admin page -> themes -> menu
There you can build up your menu
Thanks for compliments and for using our theme
Bye!
Nice theme maybe i will use for my new website
jQuery does really hate MooTools
, so if you have problems with your plugins (using jQuery) try this:
-download this file Wallow – No Javascript Animation
-replace “header.php” in your theme folder with the file in zip
This will deactivate animations in menus and comments.
In next release – when we will be back from holidays
– we will fix this bug.
hmmm, i try this header.php, but without success. Same problem with IE8.
Seems i also need holidays…….

Hi,
I really love your WordPress theme, and before I install it I want to make sure it supports Cincopa’s Plugin
(http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/post-rich-videos-and-photos-galleries/)
as this is the solution I’m going to use to manage my Media.
Thanks,
Carlos
Hi,
First of all, I really like your Theme!
But I have a question about it. Is it possible to remove the menu at the bottom?
It looks fine, but I don’t need it
Thanks,
Jarrin
Hi Jarrin,
thanks for your suggestion. We had already thought about this option, so we will introduce it in the next release.
Bye
Will you be making this compatible with BuddyPress in the future?
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress/
Thanks!
Hi Moi,
). Maybe in future…
I really don’t know how BuddyPress works (and not sure what it is
Bye
oups.. wrong code. Again:
Hi friends,
another small problem.
Can you tell me please, where the is coming from? Its not from the plugin.
This code is producing a validation error and i have no idea, where it comes from.
Thx, Frank
I don’t think it comes from our theme, but everything is possible. Be patient and we’ll try to discover it
Hi
I have a question.. I want to reduce the height of the image head.png .
I want to make it 50 px. I changed the size of the image and uploaded again but its taking 77px.
And also can i change the footer height?
I could not find its height anywhere I can change..
Thanks
J
got it…it was pages_fire.css
There are so many .css files… Good search!
Bye
First, thank you ever so much for such creativity and design. I was so very happy to find this wonderful theme.
Next, I wonder if there is a way to port that bottom bar over to other themes? I’ve been looking at the code, and almost got it working except that it remained at the top of the screen, and I could never get the images to apply properly.
Do you have any suggestions which may help to port that bar over to other themes? (It would actually be great to have it as an extension.
Thank you again for all your hard work!!!
Great suggestion,
we’ll make a try
I second the request to port the quick bar over to other themes. Great work!! Thanks!!!
Hi Tom, we’re working on the quickbar plugin, it’ll be released soon.
Thanks a lot for your support
Hi Friends,
suggestion for the next release:
Please highlight the current page in the navigation menu, who the user actually is.
Looks better
thx, Frank
Hi friends,
how can i sort the page order?
Thx, Frank
Hi Frank
;
if you mean the default top pages menu there are 2 ways:
- the first is the simplest -> use the new WP menu function to create your own
- otherwise you have to edit functions.php file -> line 85 ->
$pages = get_pages('parent=0');change to
$pages = get_pages('parent=0&sort=desc');(‘asc’ is the default value)
Remember you will have to do this every theme update
OK, WP-Menu works great.
First time i use it…..
thx, Frank
You’re welcome
End of holidays…
Thaks everyone for your great support, soon we’ll release a new version of wallow (thanks to jimo’s great work)

Hi Frank, can you please translate it in english
no sorry, but i dont have english version of IE8.
But if you have, you can see the error on the left bottom in the browser….
You’re right.
I can see the error in your site, but here and in our test site it doesn’t show up… maybe some conflct with other plugins.
The new version of wallow has an improved compatibilty with other js script. Later I’ll talk to Jimo and see if we can sent you a pre-release copy of the theme so you can check it out.
great, thx!
Version 0.44 has been released.
Many thanks to Franky for his great support and beta testing
P.S. We forgot to highlight current page… sorry Frank
@BelchSpeak (http://www.twobeers.net/annunci/holidays/comment-page-1#comment-399)
can you provide a link to the page where the comment form is not showing? I’ve surf your site for a while and I didn’t encountered the problem.
Cheers
Hi friends,
you can see a final wallow-site at http://www.schachplatz.de.
Thx for that great theme! Its the best!
sers, Frank
I really like this site! The dark mod of Wallow looks so cool. If only I knew playing chess….
Anyway, we have to thank you for your great help!!
Bye, Jimo
How can I edit the menu on the QuickBar
It is so cool but I want it to have items that are similar to my top menu which is controlled through the appearance tab in the backend.
Hi Brian, we’re working on the Quickbar to make it a plugin (http://www.twobeers.net/annunci/quickbar-plugin).
A beta of the plugin will be released through our blog within a few days.
The plugin will give blog admins the possibility to add widgets, set colors and the default gravatar.
Hope this help.
Bye
Oh well your theme, very beautiful.
Morning! Seems like I am kind of late.
I love your theme and I am using it for my site.
But I have a couple of problems and questions:
1. I could not load the featured content gallery, it only shows a black box border. Could you help me figuring it out?
2. I want to change the header’s font and location or replace it with an image. Can I do that?
3. For some reason, I would love to have a smaller menu bar on the top, do you think it’s possible to change it and how would I do that?
4. Can I also change the font on the sidebar to regular Capitals and regular font?
Thank you so much!
Hi Jacky,
please always provide a url to your site, thanks.
The new version of wallow has just been released, a couple of minutes ago, please update it you’ll find interesting new features.
1 – provide a link to you site as I can’t understand wich featured gallery you’re talking about.
2 – v 0.46.4 add the possibiliti to replace text with images, just set header image under appearence menu
3 – open style.css, find
#pages { margin-left: -10px; padding: 10px 30% 40px 5%; z-index: 2; }and change 40px value in padding to a smaller one eg:
4 – to modify sidebar font add, at the end of style.css
#sidebarbody { font-family: 'yourRegularFont'; }Cheers
This theme ROCKS! Beautiful design, easy to implement, and several excellent theme options that are very helpful.
Thank you for excellent work!
Jeff
Thanks a lot

Cheers
P.S. Should be kind if you keep our credits, according to our TOS
Awesame theme,
I greatly appreciate your work.
Respect,
kti
Thanks a lot, kti!
Hi,
how (and where) can I change the font size of the menu in wallow fire?
Best regards
Bernd
Hi!
simply append in wallow/style.css
#mainmenu { font-size: 16px; }obviously use your desired font size.
haha,the wallow_earth is beautiful.
I just started with WP and installed your template which suited me just fine -now since the new update there are some options missing – custom code for example – so either I have to find a new one or re-install the old one.
Any reasons for this removals – I though update means more functions , faster , more stable et… !?
Hi daniel,
last update didn’t remove anithing, was just a WP 3.3 compatibility fix.
What do you mean with “custom code”? wallow doesn’t have the possibility to add custom code…
I’ve just switched from Shiword to Wallow theme. The main reason is that I’ll activate tomorrow the SimplePress forum. This forum is not compatible with Shiword when you are not logged : the external scrollbar does not appear, I guess it’s a conflict between 2 Javascripts. No any problem with Wallow, with the big advantage that my widescreen is now very happy, and me too of course !
Hi
Is there a way of being able to change the colour of the posts box?
Cheers
Hi,
wallow has several default skins, you can play with them in theme options making your custom combinations.
If that is not enougth, you should manually modify .css files but this require some css skill.
Cheers
I have been able to customise the theme using the options but I cannot find the post box to be able to change it. What is it called and where in the css pages is it?
A post could have the following classes
and find out which css modify is related to the skin you’ve set (.css files are located inside wp-content\themes\wallow\css\).
I suggest you to have a look at this guide http://youtu.be/3KdNRZS-uSg
Cheers. I’ve found it. You’ve used images rather than a box that the colour can be changed on.
